Hi there,
I’m struggling a bit with your tutorials, when I try to load them I get a message about some missing dlls such as ‘bitmapproxies.dlu’. I’m running 3d studio max 8, are you running 9?
I cannot open a tutorial file on a DVD from the Book of ARCHRECURAL VISUALIZATIONS WITH 3D MAX andMENTAL RAY?
I get this in a dialogue box
Unknown class, no stand-in: SuperID =0xB60, ClassID =(0×4A0C66E1,0×1513165)
Then a Missing DLLs dialogue box opens with:
FileName mentalray_plugins.dlo Class: Arch & Design (mi) SuperClass: 0xC00
(Displayed When Highlighted) MentalRay Plugins Autodesk
FileName BitmapProxies.dlu Class: SuperClass: 0xB60
(Displayed When Highlighted) Bitmap Proxies (Autodesk)
FileName: BitmapProxies.dlu Class: SuperClass: 0×900F
(Displayed When Highlighted) Bitmap Proxies (Autodesk)
FileName: ctrl.dlc Class: MasterLayerControlManager SuperClass: 0×900F
(Displayed When Highlighted) Standard Controllers (Autodesk)
FileName: Built-in Class:Layer Manager SuperClass: 0×200
(Displayed When Highlighted) Built-in
After selecting one and clicking on open it returns an error message of:
File Open Failed: D;\3D Max 8\MentalRay DVD\Appendix 04 – HDRI\LR_HDRI.max
